My name is Tom Beurghs and I qualified as a Pharmacist in Antwerp (Belgium) in 1998. I have been working as a Locum Pharmacist in Ireland for over 4 years and like everybody involved in community pharmacy, I soon realised that Locums are in short supply.

Irish employers are desperately on the look out for extra workforce in the Republic and have broadened their search to the EU, Australia and New Zealand. After completing a Masters Degree in E-Commerce in the Smurfit Graduate School of Business in 2002, I decided to set up this website with a team of Web developers to create some transparency in the Pharmacy Locum market. We feel the Internet can be used to maximise Locum availability as it has vast advantages over traditional ways of communication.
